The Willistead series by Suchiu is a stunning collection of limited edition prints, each one a tribute to the beauty and history of Windsor, Ontario. Created over three consecutive years, these pieces were carefully crafted as collector gifts for the renowned annual Ronstock event. The series was designed not out of necessity, but out of a dedication to producing meaningful works for art collectors, with each painting representing a milestone in this carefully planned journey.
The series begins with the Willistead Coach House, followed by the striking depiction of St. Mary’s Church. These first two works were painted on smaller canvases and printed to reflect their intimate scale. The final and most prominent piece in the series is Willistead Manor, the iconic Hiram Walker Mansion, painted on a larger canvas to serve as the centerpiece of the collection. Its grandeur and elegance make it the perfect culmination of the series.
Over the decades, Suchiu and his wife have gifted over 8,000 limited edition prints, offering art lovers a chance to own a piece of history while showing appreciation for their support. Each print is not just a work of art, but a heartfelt gesture of gratitude—a beautiful way of “paying it forward.”
