While every Pure Blues limited edition print is valuable featuring both the artist and Dan Aykroyd’s signatures, there are different print editions in each production series that differentiate the monetary worth and collectability of each piece.

Press proofs, artist proofs, signed and numbered, remarques, and—of course—the original; find out what each editions market-appraised value is worth below!

TIER #1: THE ORIGINAL PAINTING

Quantity Produced: 1
Quantity Available: SOLD OUT

Did you know the original painting of Pure Blues is one of Suchiu’s most rare creations produced? It has travelled across North America to be collected so frequently that it even has its own Frequent Flyers pass with Air Miles! The original painting is currently owned by a lucky collector in Pennsylvania.

TIER #2: PRESS PROOFS

Quantity Produced: 15
Quantity Available: Only 3 Left

When an artist does a limited edition print series of an original painting, the first few prints that come off the press are called Press Proofs. The first few samples that are printed off are put to the side and verified by the press operator. Press Proofs typically only make up 1% of the entire print job.

TIERS #3: ARTIST PROOFS

Quantity Produced: 150
Quantity Available: Only 30 Left

During a print job, Suchiu and the press operator will intermittently pull samples and set them aside for proofing. Traditionally, Press Proofs are proofed by the press operator and Artist Proofs are proofed by the artist.

TIER #4: SIGNED & NUMBERED

Quantity Produced: 1,500
Quantity Available: Limited Stock Left!

The Signed & Numbered print series contains the highest volume of reproductions. Suchiu finds the best number of prints to make to ensures collectors get a chance to own a print while still maintaining rarity.

BONUS: CUSTOM REMARQUES

Quantity Produced: Upon Request

When you order a Suchiu custom remarque, the artist personally sketches and colourizes the image, by hand, on the lower margin, giving collectors an original work of art. Suchiu’s unique remarque process dramatically increases the print’s overall value and collectibility and is unlike anything else on the market.
