Signed by English singer and songwriter sensation Eric Burdon of The Animals, Suchiu’s House of the Rising Sun is an iconic tribute to the anthem defining the 1960s Blues Rock era, shrouded by the mysterious voodoo curse of the brothel that shaped the cultural legacy of New Orleans.
After spending a weekend at THE HOUSE in question, Suchiu invited Burdon to his headquartered gallery. Under this roof, the musical legend Burdon hand-signed every limited edition print in the coveted series available for ownership today.
Suchiu’s true original canvas painting of House of the Rising Sun features a token of value beyond monetary measure: at the time of signing, Burdon imparted the lyrics to a song that remains unreleased – never before heard or read: “When they force us to march in time, someone has got to step out of line.”
This invaluable artwork can be found in the collection of Eric Burdon, as well as the owner of THE HOUSE of the Rising Sun, “Darlene”, whose full name has been redacted for legal considerations.
