Titanic Stamps (Second Market Only)

$5,000.00

RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.

The largest passenger steamship in the world at that time, Titanic was designed by experienced engineers, using some of the most advanced technologies and extensive safety features of the time. The sinking of a passenger liner on her maiden voyage, the high loss of life, and media frenzy over Titanic’s many famous victims have all contributed to the continuing interest in Titanic.

In 1997 Ronald Suchiu painted a mesmerizing scene of the Titanic just before its demise. The limited-edition artworks were sold out before he had finished the painting and then surprised his collectors with the chance of having theirs signed by Millvina Dean the youngest Titanic survivor. These collectors are thrilled as the value of these prints has increased in worth over six times the original purchase price!

Ron and his family personally traveled to England with prints in hand, sat down and had tea at Millvina’s home, and had the prints personally signed. She loved this painting and Ron provided her with Titanic writing cards for her to use in her correspondence with her many fans and admirers.

And now, 100 years after the launch of this great ship we have been able to obtain 200 collectable sheets of Canada Postage stamps using the image of Ronald Suchiu’s legendary painting.

Each collectible sheet will be framed and beautifully matted with archival materials and will come to you ready to hang for only $275.00.
