Altruist, humanitarian, and environmentalist Jane Goodall has further rarified the limited edition series by hand-signing her name on every print.
Suchiu explains the storied providence of the painting and print series as beginning with the kindest compliment he had ever received. With tears in her eyes, Goodall imparted, “I’ve had 37 portraits painted of me, most I did not care for but this one I truly love.” A living legend (Goodall) shedding a compliment on another legend (Suchiu), he is recorded saying, “Jane Goodall is absolutely one of a kind; the world will never see another Jane Goodall.”
